Chapter Ten

I found Fairy Land to be a beautiful place.   The people were friendly and respectful; not just of the royal family, but of each other.  The landscaping couldn’t have been more beautiful than if it had come from a Constable painting.

I thought parts of the castle to be old and slightly creepy, but they were the parts that either weren’t frequented or weren’t lived in by the royal family.

One day, Pricilla snuck me into the dungeons.  “This is where that wicked Godwin Walters will end up,” she whispered.

I looked around in fascination.  The place was dark and dank with a smell of mold that assaulted my nose long before I’d crossed the threshold to its main room.  I couldn’t imagine a living creature lasting long in a place like that.  Since the fairies were a far gentler species than the vampires, it made me wonder what type of environment poor Kenton was forced to exist in for forty yea
