“What the fuck is even wrong with you?” I snarled at him, fed up with his contradicting words. “Why can't you just fucking stick to one thing? Are you the Scorpion or not? Fred said —”

I looked towards Fred, only to discover he was sound asleep. That bastard! How can he doze in such a situation despite the noises? Someone like him might sleep through an earthquake.

Frowning, I turned to face Pascal.

Pascal smiled at the question but didn't reply. He got an axe from the table I overlooked and walked over to Nelly. I watched with bated breaths, guessing he was going to cut her in two, only for him to cut the rope holding her to the ceiling.

I released a breath of relief, thinking it was over, not knowing the bastard was just getting started.

“And for your information, Summer, I deleted your message. Your dear Jeremy didn't receive your message. By now, he might even believe you returned home to get some things. It's a pity, though.” He chuckl
