An heartwarming surprise

Catherine's POV

I stood by the sink, my hands shaky and pressed to my mouth as I stared at the positive pregnancy test strip.

That's right, I was pregnant again.

I had taken the IUD out some months back, after Alessandro and I decided that we were finally ready to have more kids.

Tears of joy spilled out of my eyes as I gazed at the slip in disbelief. My twins were really going to become big brothers to their little brother or sister.

Hell, what if I gave birth to another set of twins?

That would be the best thing to ever happen to me, aside from the twins and Alessandro.

I remained frozen and motionless for some moments and just continued staring at the test slip. It was only when I heard a knock on the bathroom door, that I tore my gaze away from the slip and wiped off my tears.
