Leo’s POV

“And you are certain you didn't hallucinate the whole thing,” Liam's voice boomed into my ears. “Cause it's quite surreal.”

I was telling him about how I had finally seen Allison, and how she was one of my employees, well, former employees, given that she had resigned.

But then again, she was yet to tender a formal resignation and a verbal statement didn't give her enough leverage to just leave like that.

However, three days had already passed since she resigned and last came to work, so I guess she didn't care about resigning formally.

“Come on, man. Don't you trust me?” I huffed. “I saw her in flesh and blood. She even reisgned on the spot.”

“That I can believe. Given how much of a scumbag you were to her,” Liam retorted. “So did you look into her yet? I mean, you have a legion of informants working for you.”
