Ember's POV

We were left with almost three people who didn't want to wait to suffer the same fate as their leaders

The mystery man stared at me and I didn't say a word but we understood each other. Without saying anything much, we jumped towards them and started chasing them.

My heart was thumping hard but I didn't stop because I just needed to make sure that we won the war on this end. If we were being delayed by these people that meant that there was a lot of fighting going on in the main axis.

The rogues split and we came to a halt. Two went one way and the other one the second way. This could be a trap.

"Can you shoot?"

I nodded. Even though I had never done it myself I knew that it couldn't be that hard. Also, I wasn't just going to allow them to escape simply because I couldn't shoot or was afraid. " Yhat place leads to the river that's why you need a gun."
