I stood outside Hailey's door, my heart racing with anticipation and nerves. It had been too long since I'd seen her, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that I'd made a grave mistake by leaving her abruptly and I didn't expect her to even acknowledge me or welcome me. Gabriella and Madam Crystal's visit still lingered in my mind, their words echoing in my thoughts.
