Logan

The heavy scent of wet sand filled my nose as I woke up from sleep. I opened my heavy eyelids and found out that I had curled my body into Danica’s. My eyes shot open. That was crazy. We slept backing ourselves last night, and my wolf drove me almost insane for keeping space between us. My wolf must have taken control of my body and cuddled her while I was deeply asleep.

I gazed at her cute, round face as she slept. She’d have caught me holding her and staring at her if she wasn’t a heavy sleeper. I brushed her hair from her face as I took my time to admire her innocent, pretty face, sleeping calmly and comfortably.

I couldn’t help but wonder why I met a second fated mate after four years of living in the shadow of heartbreak, sorrow, and guilt. I loved Paris so much that it was difficult to let go of her memory and the pain that came with it for myself and my wolf.
