Mara’s Pov

I watched as they walked away and irritation shot through me.

He had quite the audacity to bring his girlfriend over to me and rub her in my face while I struggled with this dumb assigned duty.

The insult was too much and it had me gagging in irritation.

‘To think we had shared a vulnerable moment’ I said to Gretel, as I stuck the shovel in the soil in front of me.

‘Yara, this is my wife, the luna to my pack ’ Gretel jokes. Mimicking Rhys.

‘Come on Gretel,’ I scolded ‘ but who is she? They seemed to share some ground of mutualism. I thought he claimed to have loved Talia, where does this one fit in the whole thing?’ I asked her, utterly puzzled.

I had been so upset when I had to watch them flirt with each other, not only had it hurt my pride but that sense of loyalty to my sister’s memory.

‘Yes. That’s true, you should probably ask him.’ Gretel suggested and I nodded my head.

‘I am going to do just that. He needs to give me answers on why he is disrespecting my
