Pacing back and forth in my room with my heart beating fast, I could not find an excuse that can possibly explain what Lansford saw just a while back. I should crack my head to come up with a lie while he takes that woman away from this place. What should I tell him?
Oh, shit! If only that woman did not anger me, my eyes would not glow in anger. This was nothing but a bad sign. Should I just escape and leave this place? Maybe this was also a sign that I should leave Lansford and find another person who would help me. But… But how would I take my bead back from him? I mean… I could not just go and kiss him while he was awake. Oh, that was not something I would do because he would surely assume that I like him. Ew!
I stopped in my tracks when I heard his footsteps coming into my room. Maybe I should just hide. Running towards the large closet, I heard the door open even before I could hide away from his sight.

Curious about what they were talking about, I still shut my eyes while enduring the strong smell of antiseptic, my least favorite smell.“We did some tests to check on whatever is wrong with her but we found nothing.
