The cold, damp air clung to my skin as we moved into the dungeon, and the echoes of distant moans and muffled cries filled the space. The pungent smell of blood and decay intensified, filling the air, and almost causing me to lose my lunch as I tried to keep it all in.

Being in this space brought back memories. It smelt just as bad that day. Seth was nothing but a ruthless king, and I despised him with everything I had in me.

Now his baby was in my belly.

We moved closer into the dungeon, the occupants of the cell cowering at the sight of Ssth as he strode purposefully to the cell that contained ny brother.

But they didn't cower at the sight of me, the pregnany woman following closely behind him. Instead, they stared back at us with hollow eyes, and I shivered at the thought of what could have made them that way.

The cell Xander was kept in was far from the entrance, which meant it was hard for us to see him clearly, save for the little Window above his cell.
