A smile widened Hazel's lips as she strolled in back into her room, our room, since I was sure it wasn't bugged, we had been sleeping together.

That way I was able to make sure she was protected, even though we knew who was stronger in the two of us.

It just gave me a sense of purpose being here to protect my woman.

Her eyes landed on where I sat with my weapons, and a sharper blade, as I sharpened my weapons. I was going to need them. Especially when I needed to escape from this Kingdom.

"What's the good news?" I asked as I sharpen a curved blade, my favourite weapon and crazy killer tool.

Hazel was slowly slipping away under the grip of the dark magic. I knew this because of the nightmare she has been having. And the animated way she spoke to my father when they discussed how to use dark magic for their own good.

I couldn't stop it. I couldn't do anything but watch.
