CHAPTER 3

I woke up feeling heavy, my sensitive part was hurting too. The sun’s just rising at this moment, I peeked at the man on my side who was sleeping soundly. My face warmed when I realized we were still here on the sofa. He did not even move me.

Damn, Ayesha.

I acted cautiously to get off from him. I immediately looked for the dress I was wearing last night, I did not have a hard time because it was folded to one side. I got dressed quickly even though my bottom was sore.

When I finally got dressed, I took my belongings and finally walked away from him.

We should not meet again.

I thought for a moment I gave him a one last look before finally leaving the place.

"Where are you from? Why didn't you come home last night?" Mommy greeted me and then looked at me all over.

I swallowed and looked away. "I-I slept at my friend's house," I answered.

I could see in the corner of my eye Mommy's eyebrows rising. Who wouldn't be surprised? No matter how drunk I was, I still go home.

I bid goodbye to Mommy and went upstairs—to my room. I laid down on my bed and just stared at the ceiling, remembering all the stupid things I did.

Fortunately, I did not say my name, I did not expect him to follow me but it was still good to be careful.

Well, maybe he won't make that a big deal. He's a playboy for pete’s sake.

I deleted all the ideas and thoughts forming in my brain and decided to go back to sleep. I was so pissed off even before I fell asleep my phone rang.

Only one person I know calls me except my family, Cassandra. I punched my cellphone where it was ringing, when I managed to get it I just answered it.

"Can you come into my office?" my friend said with her serious tone.

I let out a sighed. "Give me a minute. I'm going." I simply answered and turned off the call.

I got up and took a shower even though my body was very lazy. I adjusted for a while and finally went to his office.

As I expected, she was in trouble again with her husband's set up. I really do not understand why, why her husband have a girlfriend even though the love for my friend is obvious in his eyes.

As much as possible I do not want to interfere with their feelings so all I can do is to make her think of her feelings. I also want to strangle her because even if she does not voice it out, she have a low self-esteem. We were in the middle of a conversation when its secretary called to inform someone who was looking for her so I knew in that thought that it were a businessman.

I bid my goodbye at her. I was really drowsy so I hurried home and went to bed without getting dressed.

It was night when I woke up to the ringing of my cellphone again.

"Argh! What else does you need?" I whispered to myself and answered the phone.

I immediately sat up from lying down when she immediately greeted me.

"D-Daddy" it was all she said in the middle of sobbing.

"Sshhh.. I'm going, where are you?" I said and quickly got out of bed.

"Home," she answered and I ended the call.

I quickly grabbed my belongings and ran out of the house to find a car. It was only then that I remembered the car I had left at the bar. As I made my way to Cassandra, I texted Daddy to get my car.

A few minutes later I also arrived at Cassandra's house. My knees were shaking as I walked in, I saw a few guests in the house familiar to me. When I finally entered, Uncle's coffin was exposed to me. Cassandra was sitting next to it with swollen eye.

Feeling weak, I tried to calm down and finally approached her. Slowly, she drifted her eyes on me. Her tears immediately flowed as soon as our eyes met, I quickly hugged her and let her cry and cry around me.

"M-my father .. please bring him back to me .." she said emotionally. My tears run down spontaneously and I hugged her even tighter. This is all I can do to accompany her.

I almost consider Cassandra a sister and I know she is the same to me. I also became close to his parents so it also hurt me to accept that Tito is gone.

"We ready our self for this. But still it's hard to accept Ayesha," she mumbled as she hugged me tight.

"I'm sorry for your loss Cass. Stay strong bitch, I'm always here for you." I said and caress her hair.

"I know. Thank you Ayesha." she whispered and cried silently.

"Where's Andrei?" I asked because I have not seen him since before. She and auntie were the only ones I saw who were currently paying attention to the guests. Her eyes also showed fatigue and pain of losing her love.

I could feel Cassandra's grip tightening around my waist. She took a deep breath and let go of me, before it was full of sadness but now she seem to be cold.

She looked and smiled at me for a moment. "America," was her sparing answer.

I frowned and stared at her. She shrugged and looked at his father's coffin. "For business," she simply followed.

"Did you inform him?" I asked try not to offend her or something.

"I know Mommy did," she replied simply.

"Something's wrong. What happened?" full of concern I said while looking at her.

She turned to look at me and then smiled again. I don't know why he makes it difficult for herself to smile even though I know how she really feels.

"He wants an annulment, his girl brought me the papers when you left my office." she said that made me stunned for a bit.

He wants an annulment?

She let out a fake smile again before turning to his father. "They went to America together," she whispered, enough for me to hear.

Four days have passed since Cassandra's husband returned from America, his face full of remorse as he apologize to them. Auntie understood that while Cass's attention remained on uncle and simply nodded to Andrei. Although I feel sorry for my friend's condition, I just let her go first, the important thing is that he knows I am here for her.

In the days that passed, I told Mommy that I would stay with Cassandra first, because apart from wanting to help untie take care of the guests, I also couldn't help but worry for Cassandra. I was thankful that somehow she did not miss the meal, she seemed to know that she had to take care of herself.

Since Andrei is here I decided to rest first. I didn't interfere anymore because I don't want to get involved in what they are doing. I was walking up to the guest room when I stiffened in my position.

No ..

Maybe not..

Slowly I looked again at the the crowded people who's there for uncle's wake. I scanned the people and sigh a relief after.

I thought I really saw him ..

The man who took my virginity.

Well just looks like I was just imagining it. Probably because I was tired so this is how I felt. I finally entered the guest room where I was sitting and slept.
