CHAPTER 10

Fuming anger was consuming me when I decided to leave the mall. I could hear Daevon calling after me but instead of turning around to look at him, I went straight to the parking lot and stretched out my hand as I called for a taxi. As soon as the vehicle stopped in front of me, I got inside and left without even batting an eyelash at him.

I told the driver the address of Cassandra’s condo and immediately, he was about to start his engine when someone emerged in front of us.

“Honey!” His dry voice echoed throughout the open area but I only looked at him, raising one of my eyebrows.

The driver didn’t start his engine first, as if he wasn’t sure of what to do and so I turned my gaze towards him.

“Ma’am, he might get hit by my car,” the driver said.

I sighed, shaking my head and went back to looking at Daevon who was now busy knocking on my window.
