CHAPTER 12

It was captivating to see the mesmerizing scene of the endless pitch black sky wavering in front of us. It was filled with a lot of stars gazing as the wind would slowly brush pass our skin, making our beings a lot more comfortable. We were leaning on a tree, trying to enjoy the view of the majestic city engulfed with nothing but darkness and the city lights. 

I don’t know why but my current state feels so calm and collected.

As I breathe out the cold air, grasping on our bodies, I felt his hand slowly making his way towards mine. I looked at our hands, slowly intertwining. It was perplexing, how I wasn’t even uncomfortable or surprised that he grabbed my hand.

 There was only this feeling of tidal waves crushing onto my chest.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. I slowly glanced at him, looking straight in his eyes until he was the first one to avert his gaze and looked forward at the scenery in front of us. I continued to stare at him.
