Xander's POV

I staggered back towards the table, feeling like I had been punched in the gut. The Alpha is dead, and I couldn't even imagine what Kira might be going through at the moment. I swallowed hard.

“When was that?”

Miguel pouted, “yesterday. I hope he finds peace in death, I heard his sickness had taken a considerable toll on him.”

I nodded in agreement, “yes, I guess so.”

“Did you eventually talk it out with Mira?” He asked

I pulled at my hair returning to the chair, “you would be surprised she connived with Leila and Declan to show up and throw Kira off the pedal. How foolish can they be? Thinking my relationship with Kira will be in ruins because of Mira.”

I saw Miguel shake his head slightly, “well, in actual truth they did ruin it. It's not like you have been on actual talking terms with her for the past week now.”

“Well, thanks for rubbing it in.” I snorted,

“I will leave you to it, just needed to bring the news to your notice.” Miguel announced heading out.
