At the sight of the satisfied smile on Declan's face, Leila lost her cool. She had been waiting for his return after texting him two hours ago, and he promised to return soon. Leila would have tried to overlook it if he weren't looking so happy and pleased with himself.

“Hey, Leila. There was a bit of an emergency, I had to stay back for a while.” Declan lied, not looking at her.

Leila kissed her teeth, “do you know the most shameful look on you? It's when you lie. That stupid face of yours has no pocket to keep your fakeness in. Not only did I text you that it was urgent, I mind linked you too. And you choose to take care of that emergency, not caring about what might become of me.”

Declan ignored her tantrums and made a sorry face. He had envisioned Leila's anger and because he knew just how she would act. It had made him more relaxed, and she was doing just as expected.
