Xander's POV

Everything I stared at appears to be blurry, I might really lose my mind for sure if nothing goes as expected. I have still not heard from Kira, and it's driving me crazy. It would be nice to at least get a text from her if she is so hell-bent on not hearing my voice. Throwing the pen roughly on the table, the door opened, and I was about to tell Miguel off until I caught her scent. My wolf howled in excitement at the sight of her.

Standing up abruptly, I cleared my throat, staring at her nervously. “Would you like to seat?” I blurted before realizing how stupid that sounded.

Kira laughed softly, “are you nervous, right now? You, Xander?”

I huffed, dipping my hands in my pocket. “don't blame me. It's been so long I set my eyes on you, and I don't know how to act around you anymore. Were you that angry at me that you couldn't just spare me some of your time? Even after explaining everything to you.” I whined, just because I couldn't bury my feelings. And I can only hope
