Enduring the storm

Kira's POV

“I don't feel comfortable.” Ayla whispered as I ran through the woods with every strength I could muster. I had woken up feeling burdened and the only thing that seems to relieve.me lately is shifting and taking a long run.

However, Ayla's constant complaint of what it is to come soon. Keeps me on the edge, even though it seems like I do have an idea of what might happen to me. Still, I can't deny the fear that keeps gripping my insides. After getting enough of the fresh air, I shifted to my human form and returned to the pack house. Mum and Amber were seated by the dining table enjoying breakfast.

I snickered, pulling a chair to seat in. “so much for wanting to meet with my family for breakfast. I see you are enjoying it without me, that's just great.”

“Awwn.” Amber mocked. “are you pained?”

Mum chuckled lightly, “stop teasing your sister, Amber. Don't mind her, Kira. We just started eating, one of the maids said you have been gone for a while. Is everything okay baby?”
