Sad eyes

Kira's POV

I almost couldn't see my way through when I entered the room, mum was wailing loudly next to dad's lifeless body. My eyes trailed Leila's reaction, as usual, her poker face was holding up quite well. My knees gave out, and I fell to the floor. He is dead for real, and all of my attempt at keeping him alive has all gone to waste.

I tried to let out tears but nothing came out, I felt lifeless. Sniffing, I got up quietly walking out like a zombie, ignoring the footstep behind me. I didn't stop in my tracks until I got to the garden, ignoring the grass, I sat on it, folding up my legs.

For the first time since I had promised myself to never have anything to do with Xander again, I missed him. If his cheating ass didn't get exposed, I would have run right into his arms for him to console me. I have ignored his calls for a week, and he had stopped calling since then.

Couldn't blame him, he isn't the cause of my woes. I should try to find my route myself. The tears flowed freel
