YBTM | Chapter 14

'The sun was shining brightly on a warm spring morning. The birds were singing and people were walking and talking. I was walking out of the local cafe with donuts for breakfast when I felt a pain.

“Ow!” I bent over, holding my stomach.

“What's wrong??” Mike looked over at me in concern.

“It's time.” I panted, trying to steady my breath. This shit fucking hurt, but it was going to be worth it in the end.

Rushing to the car, we got in and headed for the hospital. Once there, we parked and rushed inside.

“Violet Mizanin. We called from the car.” Mike hurriedly told the receptionist.

“Right this way.” She said, as I was sat in a wheelchair.

“It's going to be okay.” Mike soothed, running his hand over my head.

“She's coming.” I cried in pain as another contraction ripped through me. I gripped the side of the wheelchair until my knuckles turned white. Once in the room, I was placed on the bed, put in a gown and a blanket over me.
