Emilio hadn't return for over three hours now and truthfully, I had begun getting worried. Could it be that he must have been attacked? Kidnapped? Currently being tortured?

No.

I shook my head vigorously to try get those ominous thoughts out of my mind. I know my life so well, when I think of harmful and bad thoughts, it actually happens.

It is crazy how the universe always finds a way to kick me every single time my life seems to go better.

My eyes would constantly wander off to the clock plastered on the white wall of my wards.

This was past noon already and Emilio still hadn't shown up. So far, a young female private nurse had been assigned to cater for me, Emilio's orders.

And she was doing an exceptionally great job. I mean who wouldn't be on their toes when their boss was someone like Emilio Romano?!

I had been fed abundantly, checked upon by the doctors, had my bathe and changed my clothes. Sometimes, Emilio really muzzled me.
