Chapter Forty Three

I thought I'd gotten rid of my anger - the one that wrecked havoc whenever I unleashed it but I guessed not. Beth's words had made me angry and I'd hurt her unintentionally. Now I was stuck with helping her for the next few months. She told me I didn't have to but everyone would expect that since we were married, it was my duty as her husband to take care of her.

Her mother thought so when she called last night after we arrived from the hospital and I had no choice but to tell her what happened - the abridged version of the truth. Mom thought so too when she visited and Georgina was no exception.

I sighed as I tossed and turned unable to sleep because of how guilty I was feeling.
