Chapter Sixteen

Asher holds my gaze for a moment, the pain wasn’t as severe when his eyes look deep into mine. I still hadn’t a clue what has happening with me but for some reason, now Asher was close by and reassured me I was going to be okay; I wasn’t scared anymore.

But the little break I had from the pain didn’t last long, the burning sensation which spread throughout my body was more intense than it had been before. I couldn’t contain the blood curdling scream which left my lips, my heels digging into the floor as I lay there. Once I opened my eyes, I see Asher watching me with such remorse in his expression.

“I will go and run you a cold bath, do not go anywhere.” He tells me sternly before getting to his feet and walking towards the bathroom, what does this guy think I’m going to do in this predicament, run a gosh darn marathon?!

But now he had gotten further away from me, the pain only increased to a higher level than before. I roll to my stomach and begin to sob from the pain, I didn’t want
