The atmosphere was quite serene and refreshing. In the heart of a radiant Saturday morning, sunlight cascaded through the curtains, painting the kitchen in warm hues. Nanny May hummed softly as she prepared the usual Saturday breakfast combo. It had become a family tradition to have pancakes and bacon every Saturday and that was largely because Ivy insisted on it. The little girl loved pancakes and wanted to enjoy it with her family and the weekend was just the perfect time for it. The tantalizing aroma wafted through the air, creating a haven of joy for the little six-year-old Ivy. She screamed in delight with her dark, waist length curls bouncing behind her. She was outside playing but the aroma excited her more. She giggled as she chased butterflies in the backyard, occupying herself with activities so she wouldn't get too impatient, waiting for the food to be ready.
