Book 4: Chapter 41-Affection

Annoyed, Jade took the cellphone from the pocket of her jacket because it didn’t stop from ringing. She knew that the young man would not stop until his call was answered. She doesn’t want to block him because it is certain that he’s going to come up with his nonsense to the gay guy.

“Where are you?” he arrogantly asked the girl when she answered his call.

“What do you need?” she also asked in response to him.

“I just want to make sure you’re okay there.”

Her eyes rolled, and she didn’t like the young man showing her so much affection. “Now that you know I’m okay, maybe you can stop calling me and wasting my phone’s battery.”

Instead of being annoyed by the girl’s rudeness, Tristan smiled. Even though he couldn’t see the girl, he knew her face couldn’t be painted and frowned.
