“Are you okay here?” Jade looked around the large room. That room was for VIPs and she liked the ambiance. Not far from the exclusive room available at the hotel where she works. She peeked through the large glass window and pulled back the curtain that hung there. It’s nice to see the bottom of the hotel, especially, and every building is bright because of the lights. It was late at night, and she didn’t want to disturb her friend. “I’m fine here, thanks!” She looked at her friend, smiling. “The food I ordered from the restaurant is coming. If you need anything else, I’m just on the next floor.” She nodded to her friend. He has his own room in the said hotel, and she knows that her friend often sleeps there.Tyler even waved at his friend before finally leaving her room. He will also sleep in the hotel, and he is too lazy to travel home. It didn’t take long for her food to arrive. Her friend really knows her favorite foods. She had just taken a few bites when her cellphone rang.
Jade sighed as she looked around their family’s former home. The surroundings have changed a lot. Then, a bitter smile appeared on her lips when she could no longer see the small hut. Her father’s second family really changed everything in their house. She could be bitter, but she couldn’t stop herself from being envious and jealous now. Her mother is fine, she has moved on from the destruction of their family. But about her? She thought she had moved on. But the pain returned now that she was in front of her former residence. Even her mother’s garden had been changed by her father’s new wife. She seemed to want to repent and even thought of visiting her father. “Jade?” Jade blinked when she saw the old woman come out of the house.“Jade, it’s you!” Nora approached Jade with a sigh. Jade burst into tears when she met the lady. She thought that there were no memories left in that house. She didn’t think her former nanny was still working there. Nora tearfully hugged the girl and w
“You heard your father? Go away!” Liza yelled at the girl. “I’m leaving, but I’ll take my daddy with me, so he can get a better treatment!” She approached her father and held him by the arm. “No, you have no right to take my husband! Let him go!” Liza angrily slapped Jade’s hand. “Nanny, help me get Daddy out of here,” Jade called out to the lady and strongly patted Liza on the shoulder. “Ouch, honey, your daughter is hurting me! Don’t let her take you away from me!” Jade hastened to help her father stand up, who seemed to be blind not only in heart and mind but also in sight.“Let go of me, I won’t go with you!” Jade stared dumbfounded at her father and managed to grab his arm again. Even Aunt Nora was surprised to hear it. She wanted to cry out of pity for her father. He cries and looks like he no longer has the ability to fight or is afraid of being alone in life. “You’ll leave me again like your mother did. They are now my family, and they love me!” Luke waved his hands awa
Upon arriving at the hotel, Jade sat on the bed and felt annoyed. She looked at her cellphone and she hadn’t even received a message since that morning. The annoyance she felt only increased.“You’re still pretending not to be interested and angry when he calls you.” She was scolding herself. “Huh, I’m not upset now because he hasn’t shown any signs all day!” She felt disappointed. “Goodness, you’re still denying it? Remember that he has someone following you to ensure your safety.” Even her crippled mind teased itself.“Urgh, I don’t care if he never calls again!” she exclaimed at the same time. She was about to enter the bathroom when someone knocked. “Ma’am, are you all right there?” Jade recognized the man’s voice. She didn’t know that he was still there outside her room. “Yes, I am. Go back to your room.” “Umm, Ma’am, could you please turn on your cellphone?” Carlo begged and stayed where he was.Jade looked at her cellphone in wonder. It was alive, and she didn’t switch it
Surprised by the young man’s kiss on her, she pushed him hard. But because he was hugging her, she fell on the bed with him, and she was lying on top of him. A sympathetic smile appeared on Tristan’s lips, and he tightened his arm around the girl’s waist. “Stop smiling!” She slightly slapped the young man’s face in annoyance. “I miss you!” She paused from moving away from Tristan’s body. She seemed to be enchanted, staring into his eyes as he spoke. For a moment, she forgot everything, and it was as if the young man had hypnotized her.Tristan raised his right hand and gently caressed the girl’s cheek. She was blushing, so she remembered why he was in such a hurry to get there earlier. “Who made you cry earlier?” Her mouth was open, and she stared at the young man’s face in surprise. She was confused by his questions. “I know you cried earlier. Did your stepmother hurt you?”Jade quickly shook her head. The aura of the young man’s face was dark, and she knew he was angry again.
Tristan’s gaze followed the young woman who entered the bathroom in wonder. He didn’t know what he had said earlier and she was angry. He asked but Jade didn’t want to say it. He just lay down on her bed and decided to rest first. He didn’t sleep well last night and he was busy all day. Annoyed, Jade stared at herself from the mirror. She didn’t understand who she was upset with. Is it to herself or to Tristan? She washed her face again because she looked like she was just teasing while staring at herself. “I’m not jealous!” she told herself defensively when her guilt tempted her. “Ssshh, I’m losing my mind again because of this man!” she whispered and decided to go out.She stopped walking when she came out of the bathroom and when she saw Tristan, he was lying on the bed but only half his body was on the bed. His feet are hanging on the floor and he is still wearing shoes. She suddenly felt sorry for the man. It was obvious that he was tired and couldn’t fix himself in bed. He wa
“Mom, is there a problem?” Tyler asked his mother in surprise. Gina explained to the girl instead of answering her son. “Darling, I’m sorry, they just came.” Jade looked at the car parked next to Tyler’s car. She didn’t recognize whose car it was because she didn’t pay attention. She smiled understandingly at the lady. Tyler’s entire family knows that her relationship with her second family was not good at all. “Your father suddenly came with his new wife and your sister,” Gina explained.“It’s okay, Aunt. But it’s surprising because Daddy was weak earlier at home.” Jade thought in surprise. Tyler sighed, his friend’s family looked like they did it on purpose. It’s not that he doesn’t like them, but he doesn’t really socialize with them, especially Debora. “He seems fine, but he is using a cane and they assisted him to help him walk. They are now inside and talking to your Uncle Romualdo.” Jade turned to her friend, she smirked as the aura on her face turned sour. She knew he di
“What’s wrong?” Tyler asked his friend in a whisper when he noticed that she was stunned while holding her cellphone. Jade smiled and shook her head at her friend and continued walking into the dining room. She set the cellphone to silent so as not to make noise, and she knew that Tristan would not stop calling. Liza supported her husband until he sat on the chair. She even scooped him and almost fed him. When she looked at Jade, she was sneering at her. Her daughter was obviously jealous of Jade because Tyler took care of her. Before her butt had warmed up sitting next to Tyler, Jade felt her cellphone vibrate. She simply glanced at it and read the message. She was still nervous when she read Tristan’s name. “Where the hell are you now? Why aren’t you answering my calls?”Jade frowned after reading Tristan’s message. She suppressed her own feelings of nervousness. She doesn’t understand herself when Tristan gets angry. She is not nervous or scared. But with Tristan, just a text mak
