CHAPTER 34: DARK COLBY

Storming into Arcadia Grill, Liam and Tristan met Nina who was wiping the counter. Sighing, they trudged toward her exchanging pleasantries. Looking at her wristwatch, Nina sighed in defeat.

“Um, it's late and we are about to close as you can see the grill is empty.” Nina told them as she continued to wipe the counter.

“Please we need your help.” Tristan pleaded and Nina sighed, dropping the piece of cloth which had been stained with dirt.

“Um, let me see if I can get you something.” Nina affirmed as she looked at their pleading eyes before she walked into the kitchen meeting Amaya who was taking care of the dishes. Mrs. Carter and other workers had left while Amaya was waiting for Colby to return before they would take Nina back home. Taking a tray, Nina went to the fridge and grabbed two cans of soda before she rushed to the counter to analyze what was left of the day. She picked four burgers with tissue paper and dropped them onto the plate. Amaya gave her a stern look.
