Maya's Pov

I had been struggling to breathe, thinking I was going to die. But then, Micah showed up like some sort of twisted dark hero, dishing out threats to my assailants. He looked furious and something told me he was going to made good of his threat if Juliet and her minions kept hurting me. All six of them darted their eyes to Juliet, leaving the last call to her.

But Juliet wasn’t looking at them. Her gaze was focused squarely on her boyfriend.

“What do you think you are doing?” she gritted the words out through her teeth.

“I should be asking you that,” he fired back at her. “I warned you.”

“You don’t fucking warn me about shit. I am the alpha bitch.”

“And I am the fucking alpha!” he roared, stepping closer to her. Juliet’s her eyes clouded with fear at his show of superiority. Although angry, she lowered her gaze and clamped her mouth shut. It was all nudge her minions needed to step away from me.
