David’s POV

It was my mother's birthday today, and I am sure she would be so excited for the party.

I thought so hard about what to get her for her birthday, and luckily, I got something special for her. I am so happy she loved them too.

During breakfast, I learned that Rachel’s birthday had passed and that it was the first day she came to the park house.

I was glad her father brought up a plan for her to choose a date so we could throw a party for her.

Mother told me about what happens to her whenever I have sex with Laura, so ever since that day I have stopped doing it. I regretted causing her pain ever since Travis said those words to me; it felt true because I really caused her pain.

And also, the previous day, when I visited Laura and she asked for it, I couldn’t do it anymore, so I wouldn’t cause her more pain.

It was almost time to go to the hall. Scott and I had to wait for Rachel to finish, then we would go.

Scott left to attend to something outside, but he will be back short
