MATILDA'S POV

After I sent Alpha Moses out of the room, I lay still on the bed, shedding tears.

How dare he have the guts to come lie beside me after everything he did to me? After he stood there and let them beat me like a common criminal, he could not even trust me for once.

Grandmother came into the room much later and walked towards the bed.

"I'm glad you are finally awake." She said she was smiling, but I could see the pain in her eyes as she looked at me.

"How are you feeling, my dear? Are you feeling any pain?" She asked with her hand on my forehead, trying to feel my temperature.

I felt pains all over my body; despite the painkillers that I was given by Luxian after I woke up, I still felt pains, which were a result of the intense beating I had received. But the pain in my stomach was even worse; it was two times the pain I felt all over my body.

"It's just the excruciating pain in my stomach." I put my hand on my belly, massaging it slowly.

"You are going to be okay." She sai
