MATILDA'S POV

I made up my mind to ignore the scream and go back to my room, after all, it was none of my business, and I was not even supposed to be outside my room in the first place. I started heading back to my room when I heard the sound again, this time around even more loudly. It seemed like she was calling for help.

I looked around the hallway, but there was no one close by to help whomever it was that needed help, I was the only one, and I found myself not being able to ignore the call for help anymore, someone could be in danger, and I would not be able to stand it if something happened to the person, and I knew I would have been of help.

Without thinking about the consequences of leaving my room without permission, I ran to the door of the room I heard the sound from and knocked on the door repeatedly.

It was opened by a young girl whom I was later to know as the personal maid of Alpha Moses's Grandmother.
