MATILDA'S POV

Everything that had happened that day looked like a mystery to me, I still felt like I was dreaming. What could have happened? Who could have tampered with my grandmother's drugs and gotten me into the kind of situation I was in at that moment?

"Now alpha Moses is very mad at me and there is just no way I can prove my innocence to him," I said aloud.

And then again I felt bad that grandmother was badly hurt because of that person. But who would want to hurt Grandmother anyways? I prayed fervently that nothing would happen to her. The images of grandmother being moved into the ambulance kept replaying in my head causing me to be even more heartbroken. I remembered how heartbroken I had been as I watched the same lovely old woman I had read to the night before being taken into an ambulance and in that state too.

"But who would be so heartless to want to hurt her?" I asked myself again and again, pacing in the room.
