Chapter Fifty-Four

The sound of two people arguing in the hallway interrupted our conversation. Amelia and I stopped talking and looked at each other. We rushed outside to see who it was.

We saw Jane and a guy I hadn't met before. She was rude to the guy. I think the guy bumped into her in a rush, and he apologized, but trust Jane to be rude as always.

"So sorry," the guy muttered, bending down to pick up the file that had fallen off her hand when he bumped into her, trying to make up with her.

"My goodness, how rude are you?" Jane looked at him with disdain evident in her expression, while Amelia and I looked like we weren't surprised by her rude demeanor.

The guy looked at her, stunned. He was shocked at her rude nature. After picking up the file, he stood up straight and said, "I beg your pardon; you bumped into me. You should watch where you are going next time," as she collected the file out of his hand by force.

"And who the hell are you?" she asked, gesturing with her hand in demonstration.
