I was awoken by my ringtone and for the first time, I wished I had put my phone on silent before going to sleep.

I was supposed to be out searching for jobs since I no longer had one, but I wanted to take advantage of my unemployment for a while. Working had been very stressful and I finally understood women who only wanted to stay pretty while their men did all the work to take care of them.

I tried to ignore my phone but it rang for the second time, making me groan. I squinted my eyes and saw that it was way past noon. I wasn’t surprised because I spent the night watching movies, only sleeping around three in the morning. However, I didn’t remember giving anyone my number so I couldn’t figure out why an unknown number was calling me.
