CHAPTER ONE
Ada Smith is the daughter of Beta David Smith of the Crescent Moon pack. Her life has always been filled with misery and abuse. Ada’s father David was cruel and uncaring while her mother Anne was bitter and angry. It was because Ada didn't have a wolf and she was considered weak and useless. What was her purpose if she couldn't shift and contribute to the pack? To everyone she was just a burden and the only thing she was good for was cooking and cleaning. So that’s who she was, a maid and an Omega, the lowest ranking member of the pack.Yawning, Ada stretches her sore body and winces at the searing pain that races up her back. Last night Ada had been pushed down the stairs by a pack member for getting in their way. But she wouldn't allow her injuries to stop her from making the Packs breakfast. Ada feared the punishment she would receive if she was late again. The last time she was late she had been beaten so badly her ribs had hurt for days. Unlike the other members of her pack, Ad

CHAPTER TWO
Ada cries out as the branches of the trees scratch at her face and arms. Looking behind her she sees the snarling faces of the pack warriors who are coming near and nearer. Their wolves are different shades of browns and grays and their bodies are large and intimidating. Ada runs through the forest tripping over branches and catches herself on the trunk of the tree. Ada screams as one of the wolves launches at her looking to take a bite out of shoulder. Dunking down she slips again and her body rolls down a small hill connecting to a stream. Landing in the ice cold water she gasps and spits water from her mouth, Her clothes soak through and the added weight makes her sluggish. Crawling, Ada tries to reach the other side of the creek but her leg is bitten and she is dragged backwards. White hot pain laces up her body as she feels the teeth dig deeper into the muscles. Grabbing a rock she turns around and bashes it into the wolves snot. Causing it to whimper and let go. Hurrying she g

CHAPTER THREE
“You will fix her right now.” An enraged voice snapped. “Yes Alpha, I will bandage her up and do my best. It's odd that she is healing so slowly. Even being an omega her healing should have helped the bruising on her rips and her ankle should be close to healed by now.” A delicate voice responded in confusion. “I don't want excuses right now Meg. Do whatever you need to do to heal her. I can't stand my Mate being in pain. I have already failed to protect her. I won't continue to do so.” Vincent said sincerely. “Of course Alpha, since you are her mate your blood should help with the healing process. Please have a seat and we will get the infusion going.” Ada laid motionless on a medical cot the harsh white light showcased all her bruises and injuries. Because Vincent was blind he had commanded the pack doctor to tell him in detail what was wrong with her. Vincent didn't even know his mate's name yet but by the way the doctor described her beyond her injuries she was magnificent and

CHAPTER FOUR
Ada didn't want to sound ignorant but she wondered how he got around so well without his sight. Vincent led her confidently through the building and then outside. The sun was sitting low in the sky and the air was cool. Ada shyly looked at the people in the pack and she was surprised that they didn't look at her with disgust. The children actually waved at her and were happy, this was a drastic change from her old pack. Everyone in her old pack was cold and treated everyone as a target, you couldn't trust anyone.Once they were at Vincent house he led her inside and shut the door. The house was large and spacious. The ceiling was tall with a shining chandelier hanging from the ceiling. “You have a lovely home, Alpha Vincent.” “Thank you, please call me Vincent there is no need for you to be so formal.” he said and walked her over to the steps. “My mother decorated when I was a boy so I actually know what the place looks like.” he smirked and led her up the winding staircase.
