Chapter Twenty-Three

Tala…

She run as fast as she could, and the closer she got to her old camp, the more determined she was feeling. As they reached the camp side, she stopped dead in her tracks… There was no one in sight. It was as if it was abandoned. No one was patrolling, no one was sitting by a campfire, there was no one… Conri came up to her and looking around.

“Where do you think everyone went?” Conri asked in a low voice.

“They are here, believe me. I just think they are hiding.” Tala turned around and staired at the main house, her old home.

Tala can remember still thinking to herself that it was too quiet, when suddenly wolves started jumping out of the pack houses. Some of their own wolves has already transformed, and they all stormed to the front. It was an ambush, and they were waiting for them. Tala could hear yelling and bones cracking and wolves growling all around her.
