Maia
A lot has happened today— the charity concert, Jasmine and Edith’s attempted assault, and now, Clyden and I are driving towards a hotel. My eyes started to droop as I let out a yawn. Clyden placed one of his hands on my thigh and caressed it gently as he kept his other hand on the steering wheel.
“Are you tired? I’m sorry. We’ll be there soon,” he said gently.
I shook my head to get rid of my tiredness. Clyden’s probably just as tired as me, so I should stay awake with him for this car ride. “No, I’m okay. How about you? Aren’t you tired?”
He smiled while looking at the road. “How could you be so concerned about me after all that had happened? I’m fine. You should look after yourself more.”
