Chapter 49. Holding Anita

Anita leaves her compound and closes the main gate as she heads to the nearest bus stop to catch a bus to the industrial regions.

After paying her fees, she gets on the next available bus and arrives at the industrial district bus stop.

Anita hops off the bus and walks into the busy, crowded street, where many workers also navigate their way to their workplaces. She arrives at the main entrance gate of the Benson group of firms early and lines up, unlike the previous day.

Anita looks at the line of large automobiles pulling into the company and wishes she had enough money to buy a car for her mother, who has always wanted to own and drive one. Since her father was detained, he hasn't been home, and the bank has automatically seized his car because she has not seen it since her father left for work and didn't return home.

She stands in line, wondering why the bank personnel have yet to arrive at their residence to give them a quiet notice to depart.
