The walk to the boarder was excruciatingly slow. Dad kept complaining, coming up with really annoying theories on why they had come. But I think the most ridiculous one yet was "I know for a fact they are here to steal you again, they can't be trusted. They might be from your biological mother's side but I will always come first.
