Trevor's povGetting everyone settled was fairly easy, provided that aunt Amanda, Britney and the omegas did the hard work of getting the house ready for our... guests? No, they were not guests, they were here to stay. Part of the pack. I wasn't sure how the pack would react to all of this but those that saw us as we were moving them in held looks of surprise but said nothing. Hopefully, they would be able to move past their resentment towards witches because of what happened to pack when I was still a child. It was quite traumatic for the pack, being infiltrated, manipulated and having their Luna and future Alpha abducted to be sacrificed for being descendants of the goddess is something that will always stay with them. Now they have to share their home with witches and as much faith as I have in my pack, this truly was kind of pushing it. We're supposed to make them feel safe and moving witches in would make them feel unsafe. But the fact is, we really couldn't leave them outsi
Mia's povWe had decided to hang out in the Alpha lounge until the meeting, we didn't have much to do anyway, the adults were handling it. As much as my friends tried to steer the conversation away from my past, somehow, we ended up talking about it."Wow" Wade said as I told them about my meeting with the Goddess of nature and how she was the moon Goddesses older sister. "There has to be more of them, we were created by Goddess Selene, the witches by the goddess of nature. Which could only mean there are others responsible for other creations" Britney said, making me wonder how real that was. I'd have to ask the next time I visit her. "I still can't wrap my head around the fact that your existence channels power from two Goddesses of creation. That is just insane! The amount of power you can wield is just... out of this world" Cole said, eyes widening both in wonder and awe. "I'd never thought about it like that" I said reaching for a bag of chips on the table. After Trevor aske
Trevor's povI could literally see her eyes sparkle as the pack accepted the coven, the relief that washed over me through the bond was evidence enough. My mate was happy. My dad took over the link and called upon the Warriors to volunteer for the upcoming project. Making sure all of the new pack members had their own homes. We realised that some were families and thought they'd prefer a little privacy so we wanted to give them the option. I was surprised when a majority of them stepped forward to help, it just showed that they were truly going to try to accept them. The link ended shortly after that and we able to breathe, finally! Things seemed to be looking brighter, even though we had a dark cloud over our heads just waiting to rain on us. And the topic of everyone else who wasn't able to escape is something we hadn't even touched. How many more were still prisoners? We really needed to put an end to this as quick as possible. "I'm glad that's over" Britney said with a sigh,
Serena's povCrushing my herbs with wolf's bane, I looked up to see the horrified expression on the rogue that was chained up in my lab. "Please, it will kill me" she whimpered, tugging on the chains without making an impact. She was weak and tired, but she was my strongest experiment yet. She had taken all my abuse for a full day and was still alive, even some of the men couldn't last a couple of hours. She was a soldier."Don't worry, I just upped the dosage a little bit, you'll barely feel anything" I said, knowing too well it would hurt like hell, and she knew it too. But, in my defence, it was necessary, I couldn't just jump into war with some of the strongest wolves alive and expect to survive. This was a necessary evil and she should be happy I gave her the honour of my time and skills. She was going to help me beat greatness itself. Urg, what a privilege. From what I had gathered since my boy died, Mia was mated to one of the two last descendants of the goddess moon and tha
Mia's povIt's been a whole two weeks since the coven became a part of the pack and everything seems to be going really good. The pack has been more than generous with our new members, the witches are assimilating well to pack life and everyone seems to be happy. The housing project was finished up in a week and most of them moved into their new homes while others stayed in the pack house. They started training the very next day and are doing quite well, the barrier was put up and tested by other pack members and they swear they're never crossing it again. Even the Alpha had a hard time distinguishing between reality and illusion and it was quite fun to watch. Aunt Kenya is very happy with her garden and spends a lot of time between caring for it and the hospital, and not once neglecting her Luna duties. My training resumed and has been going quite well. I finally managed to get the hang of it, well, most of it. I still struggle a little. We discovered quite early that it wasn't
Trevor's povWe spent the rest of the day explaining everything there was to know about wielding fire as a weapon. I explained everything I knew in as much detail as possible and Josy helped me a lot. I never had a teacher, mom had offered but I was too proud to accept it. So Drew and I forged our way through it. I could feel the entire time that she was anxious and I tried my best to ease her mind and calm her. When the sun finally went down, I could literally see the tension in her body leave as she exhaled deeply. "It's been a long day, let's wrap it up" Josy said patting Mia's shoulder and we started making our way to the pack house. I held her hand and dragged us to walk slower until Josy was out of ear shot. "You're anxious" I said and she sighed. "Do you blame me?" she asked and I shook my head, before noticing she was looking forward. "No" I finally answered. "I watched you struggle with your powers and your wolf" she said, taking me back to when Drew was always trying to
Mia's povI felt calm, relaxed, like nothing in the world could hurt me. Could anything hurt me with my mate by my side? I don't think so. Trevor had to be the best person to ever walk into my life. From since we were kids, he's always been my rock and that hasn't changed. All that anxiety I was feeling washed away as the water flowed around us and the flame burnt brighter and stronger. "Thank you" I whispered yet again, I didn't know how to express what I was feeling. I just knew I was too lucky to not thank him. "I've got you always" he said, kissing my cheek and I swooned, my heart doing back flips. I watched as the flame burnt out and we made our way out of the river. He gave me his shirt and told me to take off my soaked clothes and I did just that, without question. In this moment in time, he could tell me to jump off a cliff and I wouldn't ask questions. We made our way back to the pack house, with me on Drew's back as the exhausting of the day wore heavily on me. Trevo
Mia's povI couldn't breathe. The entire run to the border felt like I had held my breath, my mind chanting over and over again, "we're not ready, I'm not ready""The barrier isn't working, they just keep coming but they're not attacking" Dad, who'd been on patrol said into the link just as we arrived. I felt my heart stop as I saw the monstrosities that stood about fifty feet outside the border growling menacingly but kept their distance. "How are they this big?" aunt Kenya asked as she took a few steps forward but Alpha Blake grabbed her hand. "Look at their eyes, they seem crazed" he said, making sure his mate wouldn't approach the obviously modified wolves. "Or under a spell" I finally found my voice and spoke up. "But why are they just standing there?" dad asked, even though no one could answer. "And where are they coming from?" Trevor asked with a growl as they seemed to just appear out of nowhere, this was definitely magic. "They're in distress, I can't fully reach them,
