King Ate POV

These incompetent fools. I have told them time and time again not to fall in love.

Love is weakness. Women make you weak.

Just look at my father. He found his mate and died trying to save her. I do realize that she was my mother, however, the love he had for her made him weak. He would still be alive if he didn't lose his head and jumped in front of a bullet.

I have heard the rumours flying around the caves.

I know my people want me to find my mate and have babies. This is never going to happen. Not even to mention that there hasn't been a female dragon mate born in almost two hundred years.

I walked into the kitchen and made us some coffee. Kaleb already went to his office and told me to come to him once I was done.

I made my way into the office. Kaleb was busy typing away at his computer. I placed his cup next to him and went to sit on the chair in front of the desk.
