Chapter 13

Samantha POV

Kaleb and I walked out of the house together. The same car that bought me here the first day was back in the driveway. A guy I never met before climbed out of the driver's side and gave Kaleb the keys. Without a word he just turned around and left.

"Well, that was weird. Who is he?" I asked Kaleb.

"That is one of the soldiers. He doesn't talk much. Not even to his parents, so don't take it too personally."

Kaleb and I got into the car. He asked me to fasten my seat belt. Kaleb pulled away and onto the road.

It took us only ten minutes to stop in town. I have never seen so many shops in one place. Kaleb stopped in front of what my first master described as a supermarket.

"Did you remember to bring the shopping list?" Kaleb asks while getting out of the car.

"No, I didn't, but I do remember what we need."
