Kaleb POV

I watch as Samantha left the room. I did not know she was abandoned when she was small. When she talks about her master, I just thought she was like so many girls out there. Some parents ask a master to take over looking after a girl, so they don't have the job to tell them why they are being sold.

This is why I wish I could help humans more than I do now. I cannot imagine selling my child just so that I can have some food on the table. It is horrible. There has to be a way to help them. Why can't we just hire people as we did with Carra and her husband?

I have a meeting with the Alpha in the morning. Maybe I can talk to him and come up with ways to help the humans.

I walk into my room and look around once again. I think I have an idea. Samantha did a great job cleaning up my room. I didn't realize how messy it was until she cleaned it from top to bottom. There is this fresh smell in my room. I don't know where it is coming from, but to be honest, it helps me sleep. I hav
