Chapter 24

Samantha POV (ONE YEAR LATER)

It has been a year since I was bought by Kaleb. Kaleb and I have become so close, almost like we are family.

Tonight is the coming-of-age ritual for a lot of werewolves. Packs come together so that werewolves that turn twenty-one that year can find their mate.

All the single werewolves get together at this party. If you are already mated you are not allowed to attend. Kaleb has to attend since he is a non-mated wolf.

I told Kaleb that I will wait for him at home. There is no way I want to attend a mating bond between wolves. Kaleb told me that once they meet their mate their wolves cannot be contained anymore. Their wolves will take the female right then and there. The wolves don't worry about who is there to see them.

Now I am sitting here at home waiting for Kaleb to come back home. This party can range from one day to a week.
