Despite a rough morning, today was not all bad. My spirits were back up. I wasn't back on my high horse but cruising on my feet. After hearing Mom and Craig last night, I decided it was best to shake off this depression and push forward. As the mermaid said, our lives sucked but we couldn't allow it to hold us down. I had a lot of people who were depending on me. We just had to take it one step at a time.

With no nightmares last night, I was refreshed. It either had to do with the mermaid in my bed or what I heard earlier in the night. In the morning, Mom walked into my room to find me and the mermaid sleeping together. She didn't seem too happy about it. I couldn't even explain what happened. None of the excuses in my mind didn't implicate me.

The mermaid and I were enemies. She got on my nerves. Still, whatever she did last night fogged my emotions. Now, everything was back to normal. I didn't hate her like before but there was no forgiving her for hurting So
