With my shoes in my hand, I took off on an exploration. The dirt and grass under my feet felt good. I felt close to nature. My wolf would have loved it. I wasn't sure how much time had passed when we reached the pack house, but Erix shook me awake. I hadn't even realized that I had fallen asleep. I was more tired than I could ever be. The questions were tumbling from my mouth, one right after the other, before he could answer them. "We've been asking him that for the past hour and he wouldn't answer. He said he only wanted to talk to you. He claimed you knew each other," Wyatt interrupted. I nodded in reply, but I didn't face him.
