You're already irrational, he grinned loudly. You're not going to handle this well, sh*t. I took my hands out of his hair when he stopped, arched an eyebrow, and warned him that if he didn't keep talking, we'd start fighting once more. "Last night, I was unable to sleep—not with you. I was unable to calm down and continued to wander around. I knew you were only a few miles away, so it was ridiculous, but I felt like a lost puppy. So, in an effort to exhaust myself, I went for a run.

I urged, "Go on," when he halted once more.

"I circled by Shawna's house on my way home from the run and--" "You didn't," I snarled, interrupting him. He hurriedly rose from my lap after sensing my rage. He probably feared that I would ruin his flawless face, and to be fair, I did consider doing just that.
