THIRD PERSON'S POV

Zach came down the stairs alongside the servant who had his bags. He wasn't going to have breakfast, but he had to say his goodbyes to his father so he headed to the dining area.

His father was munching on his plate of pancakes that Zach thought looked fucking delicious. He would have loved to sit and eat lots of them but he didn't want to share a table with Zoey.

Avoiding her had been fucking easy as she's learned to keep her distance too. This time, there were no sentiments involved. He doesn't ever want to be in the same space with her again. It was that simple, and nothing would ever change that. Not even the past bond they used to have as siblings.

"Son." Gamma Micah smiled proudly, getting on his feet and stretching out his arms.

"Father." Zach smiled and went in for the hug, which ended with strong pats on his back.

"You look ready." Gamma Micah commented, giving him thorough scrutiny with his eyes.

"Thanks, Father," Zach said with a nod. "I
