Chapter 2

We arrived at Thea's house and I walked her inside. She threw up in the sink, and slowly she got into bed and was out like a light. I grabbed her some water and grabbed her some ibuprofen for when she woke up tomorrow with a throbbing headache.

After getting her to bed, We drove home. I said goodnight to Mack and Frank and went upstairs to head to bed. After getting my face washed and my teeth and hair brushed, I got into my gray hoodie that said New York on it with some high-waisted black leggings. I usually left my hair down but tonight I decided that I'd put my hair into a French braid. Once I slipped into bed, I almost immediately fell asleep with Liam on my mind.

-----

I got back to my home and called an emergency meeting and told them I had to change things because of some complications. Truth be told, I don't want to kidnap her at all. She seems innocent, and she didn't know the life her parents truly lived. The life she would have to inherit once her parents died. But I have to avenge my parent's death and make them pay for what they did to me. Plus, I don't know what she knows about her family. I'm just gonna have to do all that for myself and tell her the truth about what her family does.

"So you're just gonna change your plans and make it almost impossible to get into that house?" A man next to Wilson shouted. Everyone looked at him, fearing for his life.

I walked over to him and could see terror flooding his face. "What was that?"

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to yell, sir." He mumbled. I smiled at him, which made him relax a little. I started turning around and turned towards him and shot him in between his eyes. He dropped to the ground and everyone started staring at me.

"Anyone else gonna try talking back to me?" I asked.

I heard mumbles of no’s from everyone.

"Good. Ferrel, Bane. You know what to do with him." I said, nodding my head towards the door.

They both picked up the body and dragged him to be put in the fire in our basement.

"Now everyone who isn't on watch duty goes off to bed. Everyone who is on duty go to your spots. We have things to do tomorrow," I demanded. Everyone started scattering to head to bed, and those who were to guard the house went to their positions. Just like I said.

It's nice being in charge now and again.

-----

I always got up early. Even when I was a child, I got up early. My parents used to hate that I got up early, but as school rolled in they became very thankful that I was up early. I liked to get my exercise done in the mornings.

I got into my workout clothes and took out my French braid. I got on my treadmill that was in my room and worked out for about an hour. After fifteen minutes in the shower, I walked out to pick out my outfit for the day. Today I was wearing a maroon shirt with short black ripped jeans with some white All-Star Converse shoes. Once I finished tying my shoes, I heard gunfire, and Mack came storming into my room.

"Mack, what's going on?" I asked.

"No time to explain. We need to get moving." Mack said, handing me his hand. I quickly took it and he dragged me out of my room.

We quickly passed the main room and that's when I saw that there was a shooting going on all over the place. I glanced at one of them and I felt like I'd seen one of them before. He seemed like he was in charge of the group of men storming my home. But I didn't get a good look at him. I was getting pulled into a room that was always locked and that they forbid me to go in. My dad said it's just like a storage-type closet. But even as a child, I wonder why I wasn’t allowed to go in there if it was just a storage closet. He'd go in there all the time for hours on end. So I knew he was lying. It was just an office space. Before we entered, a guy came next to us and Mack pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg. He knocked the guy out and yanked me into the room. Once we were both inside. We walked over to a bookshelf and Mack pulled on a book that opened up a secret door that had a tunnel inside.

"Mack..."

"Get in there and run. And whatever you do, do not under any circumstances look back!" Mack shouted.

"Mack, what's going on?" I asked. Before he could answer me back, the door started getting knocked down, and Mack shoved me in there and I had a lot of space and room for me to run to... well, wherever this place leads me to. But I did as Mack asked, well shouted.

I ran.

----

We successfully got inside and got greeted with gunfire. So far, we only had three people injured and no one on our side was dead. Once we swept the home, we started looking to see if Melody was anywhere in the house.

"Anything?" I shouted.

"Nothing!" people shouted throughout the house.

After we checked the entire downstairs, someone shouted “I GOT SOMETHING!"

Fortunately for us, it was Wilson. He always was a straggler and just kinda did his own thing. I scolded him a few times, but it never really works.

All of us raced towards the sound and ended up in some sort of office. We walked in and saw a guy on the floor next to the door knocked out cold.

"What is it, Wilson?" I asked.

He pointed towards a door that hadn't completely shut all the way. Of course, it had to be a bookshelf for an entrance to a hidden room.

"This door leads somewhere outside." I said, "half of you go outside the other go in the tunnel. If you see her, DO NOT harm her. If she fights back, you have the tranquilizer guns. Use it if necessary." I ordered.

"Who's in charge of which group?" Charlie my right-hand man asked.

“You're in charge of the tunnel and I'll go outside." I rolled my eyes. This wasn't the first time we've done something like this. Well, except I wasn't sure what to do with her. I don't want to kill her, but I want nothing to do with her. Well, minus getting revenge on her family.

Especially after what they did to my family.
