The room was silent as I waited for Andre’s answer, he looked confused and shocked and I was sure that he probably didn’t think that I’d heard their conversation until now.

Andre’s lips twitched as he sighed, looking away from me so that I didn't read too much into his reaction.

I’ve known Andre for a while and I could tell that he had tons of questions running through his mind but just as quickly as the shocked expression showed up, it disappeared.

“Would you rather confide in Lily for something like that and let me live the rest of my life in the dark?” I asked, breathing the darkness.
