Lilliana’s POV

Groaning, my eyes opened and everything around me seemed to be in a blur. I tried to think back about everything that happened but I couldn’t.

It was as though I’d lost a fraction of my memory. Fear washed over me as I tried to connect the dots but I couldn’t do that too.

What happened? How did I end up here? Where am I?

Questions ran through my mind and I felt the hair at the nape of my neck slowly standing erect as I tried my hardest to think.

I looked down at myself and despite the fact that I couldn’t really remember much, I knew that I wasn’t in the same clothes I was wearing before.

It was as though someone had bathed me and the thought of that caused my eyes to widen as I wondered who could’ve taken off my clothes and—

My eyes landed on the mirror and the shadow of someone watching me carefully, his eyes dark with fear but soon replaced with relief when I met his gaze brought back the part of my memories that I seemed to have lost.
